Annual Ladies Aid Summer Luncheon today!
This weeks verse to look up and ponder...
We would like to extend our warmest congratulations and many blessings to Pastor Harry Biles (who served St. Nicodemus from 1973-1980) on his 45th Anniversary of his Ordination! Congratulations and we have wonderful memories of you and your family. Best wishes as you continue to share your gifts and minister to God's people.
Our scripture this week to look up and ponder is...
ONE NATION UNDER GOD. Happy 4th of July! Thank you to every ONE who has or is giving us our freedom.
Something new we would like to share with you...on Sunday mornings there will be a different scripture posted in the front of the sanctuary...we invite you to look it up and share your comments!
God is good... what a joy to have so many share the Word of God Come join in the fun....all the time God is good!
A couple of rocks have been taken so this is the updated list... we have had one winner and still have more prizes so please join the hunt for the Lord's words throughout Marilla!!
CONGRATULATIONS to Dorothy Reichert for being our first winner in St. Nicodemus Rocks!! Nice Job Dorothy and she said it was fun to drive around Marilla figuring out the clues!
Last night was our last Circleback Around before a short summer break...AWESOME time! WE discussed how to stay connected with God over the summer with a twist on daily devotions. The neat part was sharing some of our own Bibles. Very neat that Carol Reichert brought hers from when she was confirmed at St. Nicodemus to read the names in the front of who was in her class, the teacher and Pastor - will just say it was over 50 years old!! Another one that stood out as being a treasure was Sally Hess's, she brought hers from when she used to attend the original "Circle" over 40 years ago! Diane Clark had her Bible that had messages for Women. Lastly Nancy Meyers was a good sport using a Teen Girls Bible someone had brought. ALL these different Bibles, the words may be a little different but God's word NEVER changes!! AMEN.
Many hands made for quick work...thank you for everyone who helped open up and clean up our Picnic Shelter! It is available to rent; wonderful for family reunions, graduation parties, and any celebration! Two stoves, two refrigerators, plenty of tables and benches, sliding doors to open or close if raining, two bathrooms, horseshoe pits, ball diamond, playground and swings to name several things. Not forgetting privacy and beautiful woods to look at. If you have an event and would like to rent please call the church office at 652-6611 for more information.
